Just so you know... if you lock your keys in your car with your engine running, you can get the engine to cut off by momentarily blocking the exhaust pipe with a board or something. It's one of those safety features.

about the snake... if that's the anal plate I see...it's not divided. my field guide says hognose snakes have divided anal plates.
