Scott's perlite

I have herd that scott's peat is bad to use for carnivorous plants but what about scott's perlite and charcoal? I have been using it for about 4 months and it has had no effects but wanted other peoples results.

CF, This is definitely predjudice speaking, but I would never use perlite no matter who made it. Use whatever you like, but you can never tell about perlite from any source.

Just curious Steve, whats the beef with Perlite???

I just hate it. Gets all over, floats to the top, and is a general pain in the butt. I have been to tons of bogs, and never found ANY growing in this crap. Nature knows best, Man can only imitate.
