Well, I took a little time to look for cp's this weekend. I've posted some of these in other posts but I thought I'd put them all together here.
These pics are of some D.capillaris that I forund in the ditches of a housing development.
Then I found a dirt road and started driving down. I saw a quail run out in front of me, so I stopped got my camera and hoped I could get a pic of it. As I walked up to where I saw it, about 6 quails jumped into the air and took off. I was right in the middle of them. I snapped a pic as fast as I gould and this is the only thing I got. If you look in the right side of the pic you'll see two quails flying away.
I saw this plant, I'm not sure what the name of it is but I've seen them many times here.
As you waslk down the dirt road it comes out into a corn field. Just before the field I saw these tracks on the ground. I don't know animal tracks very well, but since I'm in the woods a lot I guess I should learn them.
I put a dime in the last pic to show the size of the print. For some reason it looks smaller in the pics then it did in real life.
I have done some reseach on the print and I think it's either a huge dog or wolf, and I don't think we have wolves here.
This next pic is of one of the meanest animal in the area. If you mess with their home they will attack and trust me they hurt. I have been on the reciving end of their attacks more times then I can count. Here's a 2 or 3 ft high fireant hill.
