Windowsill Sphagnum

DavyJones

Is ready to take this hobby to a whole new level
I just recently began using live sphagnum as a top dressing for my neps in a mid-low humidity environment (right now @ 67%, usually hovers between there and mid/low 50's), and it has been doing fine so far. The only issue is that I have to spray it down 3-4 times a day, or else the tips begin to dry out a bit. Will my moss eventually establish itself in the pots, and not need this continuous spraying, or will I always be spraying my moss down several times daily?

lfs in my experiance takes a little time to establish itself into potting media, but once it does, it usually only needs to be sprayed once every other day or so....

lol, exactly what i wanted to know.

Once it's established you probably have to top water or mist less. It really depends on your local relative humidity.

It never grows for me unless it's in a high humidity cool set-up.
