Nice everything looks so clean and organized.

Wow, great greenhouses! What is that spectacular Sarracenia in the top left corner in the temperate greenhouse? Judith Hindles? I love the dew and ping section. :3

Damn, that's nice! When I get a greenhouse of my own, I want mine to look like that.

Capensis,

Yep, those are S. x 'Judith Hindles'.

Nice green house, must go through alot of water eh?

btw. if you dont mind me asking; where do you get those black trays ?

I go through quite a bit of water lol.

I get my trays at the Do It Center and Osh.

I have the same trays, I got mine at Fred Meyer, they were on sale, sold as a "seed starting tray."

Nice! Looks like you have plenty of room in your greenhouses, lol. Can't wait to see your Neps grow out!

By the way, how is your little missy N. ventricosa cutting doing? =]

Looks great. I'm jealous. Just curious, are the panels double paned to make temp control easier? Or just single?

  • #12
Hey Jimmy,
The ventricosa is doing great, we should be seeing some seed soon!

Nightsky,
They are double paneled, now I wont need to heat the greenhouse in winter.

Nice....My wife is getting on me about building a green house for her.

  • #14
Hahaha. Of course it will be "for her." You'll be the gracious husband who toiled tirelessly in the yard constructing a greenhouse for "her hobby" - how considerate of you to offer this second "belated Mother's Day" gift! You can even find her plants to fill it; and you're such a great guy, you'll even take care of them on her behalf! What a gentleman!
Very nice setup, max. I'm jealous of both your yard and your climate.

Yeah....I wonder if she will mind havine a bunch of CPs in it!!!!
Whats a greenhouse "kit" cost these days?

  • #16
For something that's not just a tent with shelves? $300-$1400 for a modest-sized one, depending on your need for heat/AC, weather resistance, etc. A little more if you put in some sort of foundation - even if it is just cinder blocks and gravel.
~Joe

PS - If you are satisfied with something that's a tent with shelves, there are actually quite a few nice, generously sized ones that go up into the price range above. :D

Sweet setup. I'm definitely jealous.

Wow. I wish my wife was getting on me to build a greenhouse!
