The cephs are in a nice quiet Australian ICU. Figured they'd appreciate that after their long ordeal.
I'll get some pics for you hounds in a couple weeks. In the group is:
Czech Giant
x2 Hummer's
x2 Typical
x2 Robust
with a couple Phil Mann clones coming soon..

But in the meantime, the squamosa growth continues to pop!

Just because somebody asked, here's an update on the D. ascendens seedlings.

Wow that squamosa has to be my favorite dew. If you ever propagate that thing send a plantlet my way:p.

  • #323
You can post as many pics of your D. squamosa as you like. I love that thing. D. ascendans seedlings are looking good (mine are too!) :)

I'd love to take some macro shots of the squamosa! Such a cool dew!

  • #325
Not a macro, but a better angle of the new growth.

It was actually the same size as the two largest in the pic. It's a macro shot.. ;) But hey.. you're the ONLY person I've sent one to, so consider yourself lucky.
BTW, here's the full name with it's location data. Not sure if I ever gave it to you:
D. ascendens (Serra de Ponta Grossa, Campo Largo ~ Parana, Brazil)

im pretty sure my 4 month old d. arcturi seedling would be towered over by those d. ascendens seedlings

  • #329
Man, your a great photographer! In your pic those seedlings look gigantic!!

  • #331
haha those are cute ascendens.

  • #332
Are those D. erythrorhiza subsp. squamosa all from one tuber or are they a group of tubers?

  • #333
Wow, that squamosa is becoming one of my favorites to look at, just gorgeous!

  • #334
Gosh, that squamosa!! Maybe it's just me, but it looks like a kiwi to me :p

  • #335
Man, that squamosa is SO AWESOME! AH! Great pics too, you're getting really good with that camera. Those ascendens are getting big too!

Thanks everyone. By far my #1 favorite dew.. Hopefully my #2 favorite dew arrives this month.

It's a single tuber I bought for $35.
First it flowered. Then the flowers died and it put out carnivorous shoots 1 through 4. The carnivorous leaves tend to die after feeding, as you can see in the pics. But MAN-o-MAN.. that sure is an active tuber.:

Just for you Mikey.. here's some of the cephs.

So, this is how I acclimate cephs to my high humidity conditions.
