mixing water

if I mix 100 ppm well water with 1 ppm ro water will I get 50ppm mixed water thats safe for my dews and pings

A general formula:
Let C1 be the concentration of water A
Let C2 be the concentration of water B
Let V1 be the volume of water A
Let V2 be the volume of water B

C3=(C1*V1+C2*V2)/(V1+V2)
Where C2 is the new water concentration.

So for equal parts water, the C3 in your case will be 50.5...so just determine the final concentration you desire and you can solve the equation I supplied to find the ratio of volumes you need.

thank you thats what I thought

Mickey, do you know what specific minerals are present in your well water? the kind of TDS present may be just as important as the concentration.

not shore but leaves a greenish black ring so probably iron or copper,doen't hurt my fish or snails so I guess its not copper
