Very nice update! Your tentaculata looks great! Do you find it hard to grow?

  • #42
it was actually traded to me very generously last week so I can't yet say :) Although I will let you know!

  • #43
Great gosh! Everything has changed since I left, and its only been a week! Good growing Greg!

  • #44
Ok! Time for a new update! I got a bunch of plants in since the last. I'm not going to post photos of all of them because that would take too long and I'm lazy. So here are a few "overview" shots from my iphone:
Heres my closet rack currently:

Check this leaf jump from my N. "riddler". It's got a caffein buzz! After starting to feed coffee to my plants about two months ago I'm finally starting to see some super nice results!

U. reniformis "enfant terrible" putting out some new groth like mad! Thanks Johnny! Out of the 6 utrics he gave me this one is way ahead of the game.

This is a new masdevallia that is actually growing inside but I couldn't get a good photo so I brought it out here... Still not a great photo (my iphone has focus issues) but the lighting is better:

Some sarrs and my view from my porch! I really need help ID'ing the one with the most pitchers that appears to be a purpurea hybrid of some sort..

My boss very kindly gave me this division from one of her tillandsias! It must have liked the move to a sunnier porch because it flowered immediately!
IMG_0394_zps5b168eb9.jpg

I found one of those fruit hangers for like a dollar at goodwill so I hung it from a dead ficus! (and another porch view.. God I love this porch!)
IMG_0435_zps16e6b1f0.jpg

And heres a succulent arrangement that I just put together with a piece of a broken pot and divisions from a friends garden!

WOW!!! I have a lot of stuff to post! I'm going to make this post of the first package, then one of the awesome stuff Johnny sent me, and then finally a post showing the plants that I got from the LACPS meeting!! This week has been AMAZING for me and my plant addiction!!
Here are 5 plants. One is almost full ramispina and one is almost full sanguinea and the other three are hybrids in between somewhere.. I LOVE both of these species and these are now pretty much my favorite plants in my collection!! Here we go:
Here's the lot:

Very nice plants I see you like your neps quite chocolatey!

  • #51
One of my favorite nepenthes in the universe looks just like that sanguinea hybrid in the second-to-last photo. We don't know what the parentage is either. I wish we did. That pitcher shape just makes me drool.

  • #52
Very Nice, I own that large dark red sang x ram hybrid you have there, it was my first nepenthes, and quite possibly the easiest one I own.. it will grow and pitcher ANYWHERE.. in any temps or humidity, just needs lots of light.

Yeah I love these new ramispina hybrids. GAHD!!! All blurry iphone photos:
Here are some new additions to the grow closet..

Here are a few better photos of a few of the sang x rami (or macfarlanii or gracilima) hybrids. I'd love some input as to what these may be!

I put a few epiphytic utrics together in this vase/terrarium with an orchid in the hopes that they will grow out and look cool!
IMG_0726_zps96ec0fd7.jpg

IMG_0727_zps524d6069.jpg

And last, but certainly not least, is a photo that I didn't take, nor is it of my plant (not exactly).. The guy who very kindly sent me all of those ramispina x sanguinea hybrids sent me this photo of what the last plant in my last post^^ is going to look like. I LOVE the elongated pitchers and think it's, like the coolest thing ever!!
