Happy hour..
Hey guys! I finally did it! Its not much now (plant wise), but I hope to continue to grow more and more and update a lot. Here's what I was up to tonight:

Nice, what temperatures are you getting? Do you plan on humidifying it?
 
Le humidifier on the bottom rack.

Temps are ~75-65 day, ~70-60 night.
 
If you want to grow (HL) nepenthes you should try to have a bigger temp variation.
 
wooooooo thats like mine but mine is smaller............................ im going to try putting fogger in somewhere because my huminity= 0.... also weird that you used exact same green colored duck tape....

You call that small? What are you growing, N. rajah?
 
Alright, today temps have been a 60-70 all day. Is there anything I can do to make temps range more?
 
Are there any windows in there that you can open at night?
 
Not really.

I don't think South African Drosera are going to like HL conditions. South American varieties will, but things like madagascariensis like warmer temps, like 70-80F.

P. esseriana-I thought the guy just sent me a bunch of leaves before finally finding the plant. Trying to let it dry out a lot. Do you think I need to change the media? 1:1 peat:sand

New humidifier-don't worry, it's in a make-shift spot. Soon it will be outside the set-up.

For the P. esseriana, you might want to change it to more sand or perlite, maybe a little vermiculite mixed in, or to a completely mineral soil. That much peat rarely seems to bode well.

Yeah, thanks. I was already discussing that in chat, and I'm getting some vermiculite and perlite to mix in.

nice work lots of luck , i like the completely enclosed grow chambers , you should have lots of fun and be able to grow all kinds of neps dews and pings in there, id just keep it to a mid range temp and humidity and grow intermediates to highland plants they seem to tolerate some warmth better than lowlanders tolerate the cold temps, though i grow a mix of all and have tried and failed with many before i found the plants that like me. LOL

That looks pretty aliciea to me. Hamiltonii seems much flatter to me and the leaves more rounded and less wedge shaped. That admirabilis is a good looking plant.:-D

If you think its aliciae I'll take your word for it. Yeah I was really happy with the admirabilis. Sorry about the small pics. I'll change that next time around.
