Highland nepenthes mini greenhouse for smaller varieties.

Hi everyone, these are my first posts on this site. I want to share my newly built nepenthes "mini greenhouse." Its a 33 gallon rimless aquarium with a custom made glass top. I have suspended T5 lights over it. My purpose is to have a collection of "micro neps." Therefore I am focusing on the smaller growing species. At this point I have all highland species. Take a look!

Looks nice! I just made my own glass case/terrarium because I couldn't find a rimless aquarium cheap enough. Do you have any form of ventilation in there?

Great look! I love It. Nice plants too

i love those square black pots. couldnt find them...and when i did find them, there wasnt enough space for them to perfectly fit my ocd tendencies...so i never went with them. my ocd would also force me to purchase all square or all circular pots but not a mixture of both. hahaha. though the circle in square pot works amazingly for water holding. thanks for sharing! im also curious about what other neps are in there. i see a jamban.

Very nice, Matthew. Any chance of adding some captions?

Awesome plants. Are you the same Matthew on cpuk who lives in brooklyn?

  • #16
Heli: Yes. Im the matthew that lives in brooklyn.

The plants in the photos are: n. spectabilis x aristo, densiflora x talangensis, jamban, aristo x singalana, macfarlanei, inermis hybrid

I've added mikei and singalana x hamata, will share pics soon.

The circular pots were bought at lowes, the square pots I picked up in the flower district in NYC.

The base gravel is small-grade growstone.
