Hello,
I am newer to carnivorous plants and I really love them! I am building a large 240 gallon for Pennsylvania plants and the native American toads. I was wondering what I would need to do for ensuring the pitcher plant succeeds (Sarracenia Purpurea.)
The Purple Pitcher Plant grows in a few areas in my state and these toads breed in some of the bogs the plants live in. Would reverse osmosis water work for these plants? Would an exo terra 2.0 uvb work if placed directly above the pitcher plant? What would be the best way to overwinter?
I have a mini fridge I am going to brumate the toads in and I was wondering if I could put the pitcher plants in a bag or something in the refrigerator also?
Sorry for so many questions I'm just trying to figure out some of the most important stuff and I'm very new to carnivorous plants. Thank you for the help!
