PVC plant shelf

I'm building a shelf from pvc pipe,I should have it done by next weekend and I'll post some pictures on my website.It will hold some 10 gal fish tanks for neps,sundew,pings......and also for growing seeling plants in trays over the winter.It is a two shelf unit and will have two 48" flourescent lights on the top shelf for now.

What size PVC? PVC has the nasty habit of bending under weight.

1" pvc sc 40,Shelf is braced in the middle,from shelf to shelf with legs in the middle.When I post the pics I'll post them so you can see it.

Should be interesting. I have looked at the stuff, and I don;t know if I could go below 2", lol. It would not look nearly as attractive, though.
