I am new to CP and to Terrariums in general and was hoping I get some advice. I am starting to rack up quite an expense (my wife is gonna kill me when she finds out) with everything I have bought so far and do not want to waste my time and money.
Here is my current setup:
5 VTP all about 3 inches tall
2 Red VFT
2 Dente VFT
1 3-5 yr old VFT
* bought all from worldcaravan.com in a small terrarium kit
I have a small bowl terrarium with 1 spot grow light on it. It is currently in my basement where it is between 55 and 65 degrees. I have only had them for 2 weeks or so, so I am not sure how well they are doing yet.
I am trying to build a 10 gallon bog terrarium. Here is what I have purchased:
Round Leaf Sundew - 30 seeds
Drosera prolifera - live plant
Drosera montata var. tomentosa - live plant
Drosera capensis - live plant
Drosera Caledonica - live plant
Darlingtonia californica - 50 seeds
Pitcher Plants -- 100 seed mix
Sarracenia leucophylla (White Top Pitcher Plant)
Sarracenia psittacina (Parrot Pitcher Plant)
Sarracenia alata (Pale Pitcher Plant)
Sarracenia rubra ssp gulfensis
Dionaea muscipula VFT Hybrid mix - 50 seeds
Terrarium Decor (driftwood, lichens, etc.)
Digital Timer
Misc Potting Soil, etc
Humidity and temperature guage
Here is the info I have collected so far:
=============================================
Lighting:
COLOR RATING INDEX
90-100 are best for simulating true “white” sunlight color.
KELVIN RATING or “COLOR TEMPERATURE”
5000-7000K
LUMENS

=============================================
General:
Regular Growing Period: May - October
Dormancy: November - April
=============================================
Growing:
Temp:
Regular Growning: 75 - 90 degrees
Dormancy: 45 - 50 degrees
Humidity: 70% - 90%
Sowing:
Temp: 75 - 80 degrees
Humidity: 90% for 25-35 days then reduce to 70-80%
=============================================
Feeding:
Small crickets once a month during regular growing season
=============================================
Am I on the right track? Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
