Found this little guy in the garden

Hi all,

I found this little fern(presuming that it is) growing in my garden. I have actually noticed it a few years back and each year I check to see if it is still alive.
It's got really strange looking leaves which I think is really neat.

Does indeed look like a Pellaea calomelanos. I read that it is apparently quite wide spread around South Africa. And very drought resistant.

Is it really naturally that blue/ green colour?
And the leaves look quick thick, like little biscuits.
That is absolutely stunning!

I'll have to see if it's available here in Australia.
Thanks for the pic.

Wow, what a gorgeous plant. Ill have to add it to my collection soon!

Thats really neat.. Looks so smooth. Almost like a glazed porcelain

Hi,

Yes the plant really looks as weird in real life as in the photos and the leaves look almost "fake" if that makes sense. Almost like plastic.
It has now got some new growth which is much greener and "plant like" compared to the other. Will take a photo and post it.

Regards

EDIT: Here are some photos of the new growth.
