Nepenthes again

Hi everyone!

I would be very thankful if someone could identify this Nepenthes.

Here's the plant as I got it:

Here's how it's now:

I've had it for a year now, but haven't been able to identify it properly. It had a label it's a hybrid?

Thanks,

Tommi

My first message here btw!

Edit. Aug.3.2004

It looks like N. maxima, or at least an N. maxima hybrid.

Yeah, I've been wondering if it might be N. maxima x ventricosa.

It's a bit on the thin side for maxima?

Hmm, maybe its maxima x alata "spotted" ?

Hmm, on the first one, the top left one resembles yours.

Yes, and the pics of mine are from a young plants lower pitcher. It's too small to make upper ones.

continues...

I got a suggestion it might be N. fusca based, perhaps N.fusca x alata. The peristome and lid shape seem to fit this.

And it doesn't have any of that thick shape of maxima.

Well, seems that a definite identification might be impossible.

Thanks anyway!

Maybe its an N. x 'Gentle' hybrid(Its parants are N. maxima x N.fusca)

Starman has my guess.  Looks a lot like my Nepenthes 'Gentle' but...that lid...is extremely small.

Yes. It seems to pretty close to the 'Gentle', but there appears to be a lot variation in the plants named as N. 'Gentle' (that I found on the net).

Sorry about the dead links, here are new ones:

You're kidding! It was all green when you bought it? Now it's beautiful!

I'm almost certain that there is fusca in there.

Hi!

Yes. I bought it from this store selling just about everything (apparently from bread and butter to car parts to carnivorous plants). There were only a few of these, and it didn't look very interesting at first sight. But it wasn't expensive, about 6$, so I bought it.

Apparently it suffered mainly from lack of light. It started to get more color almost immediately when I put it in my terrarium.

Haven't regretted the purchase.

man, we never get good stuff here!!

i think is has fusca in it too, it's not as bulky as maxima. and the lid is more fusca-esque.
