One's good and ready...the other had to get plucked down in pre-chrysalis form because he's stil got to work on making himself all hard and green..

Ah, that's so awesome Z :D

Will those be Luna / Saturniid moths?

It sorta looks like they wanna be monarch butterflies..

Monarchs would be my guess, although there's a species of caterpillar/butterfly that closely resembles them.

The cocoon was green so that's where I got that idea.

I don't know moths & butterflies too much ??? LOL

yup. monarch is correcto.

awesome, take lots of pics when they emerge.

updates: they're coming out any day now, this is the bigger and further along of the two (I've moved them outside so they have more room) --

So did the one lying on the ground pupate? Usually they don't unless they're hanging!

The poor little guy looked bad and ended up just turning on the bottom of the container and I hung it up with some string - shed its skin and got some perlite embedded in the chrysalis "shell", but I think it'll come out OK :-D

I don't mean to worry you, but yearly I raise about 80 Monarchs, and whenever my Chrysalis turns pearl color they end up dying... It mainly is green then clear(orange and black)
