Yep, it definitely looks like one. Was it still alive when you took the picture? Beautiful arthropod.
 
Yes it was, I will be honest though- those jaws freak me out!
 
Yes your ID is "correct" though it is neither a spider nor a scorpion. Tis a solifugid. Awesome creatures!
