They cleaned up quite nicely
 
Beautiful flies (how often do you hear those two words in the same sentence? lol). Surprised they let you get close enough.
 
I agree. As annoying as they are, still a very interesting type of insect.
I especially like the shiney bottleflies, however the mimic hoverflies are my favorite
 
Wow number 4 looks like a bee! Very nice photos even though bi can't stand flies ..yuck
