Critters of the house

Hi all,

This summer I have been greeted by some passers by.

Uroplectes triangulifer I think? They frequently visit, hehe.

Large.

Tiny. (Poor pic)
That is a 10c ZAR. It's quite a small coin if you have never seen one.
The misses actually found it hiding in the toilet paper. :p

Actually been thinking of keeping one in a vivarium, I have kept a few scorpions before. They where quite larger in size and easy to feed. This species does not grow that large, I have noticed. Might be hard to feed. :lac:

Ooh! I don't know the coin but I know how large a roll of TP is. Good thing she found it!

I almost miss having scorpions around. When I lived in TX we would have Centruroides vittatus visit us in the house all the time. Thank goodness we never found one in the TP though. That's even worse than finding one in your boot. >.<

I never tried to keep them as pets, but I used to cut off their stingers and feed them to a black-and-yellow argiope I kept in a 20-gal. tall aquarium for awhile. I also froze a few and encased them in clear resin paperweights.

fredg wonders why a coin was hiding in the toilet roll :0o:

I'm glad the scorpion was found before the TP was used, lol.

Disaster averted.

Could have been a real pain in the arse if it hadn't been. Heh

I knew it wouldn't take long for the toilet humour to start. That;s a bum joke.
