Farming Ants

The Ants are doing very well with their livestock. The Blackfly are looking very plump.

Nice pics. Did you just find a stalk of a plant with aphids on it and decided to put it in, or do you have a live planted vivarium?
 
But alas, Fred, you have no Nepenthes for those ants to feed!

The Ants have several farms around the garden. Last year I had to remove a farm of theirs in some Dactylorhiza.

I must admit I did chuckle a the thought of me having a vivarium :-D
 
I have a small vivarium planted where I have a colony of L. niger growing, and had trouble trying to get aphids to grow on the plants. (Of course they swarm on my orchids and cps)
