Hello

Hi,

My name is Jeff and I'm new the forum. I've recently gotten back into growing CPs after a several year break from them. I live in Canada; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to be specific. Besides CPs, I grow a variety of tropical plants, orchids, and other unusual plants. I've been lurking around for several months, learning alot. I look forward to learning more about these interesting plants and hope to help others.

Jeff

Welcome to TerraForums! There is also a local Canadian group:

OCPS

Welcome indeed! Do you have any favorite CP's? Do you grow succulents? What's your shoe size?

welcome, i hop the border and am in Regina atleast once a year. i dont think im headed back that way till January/Febuary though. havent been to Saskatoon yet but probably will wind up there at some point for Optimist Club stuff

Tamlin,

My favorite CPs have to be Drosera, although Venus Flytraps are a close second. The only succulents that I have are an Aloe vera, and several species of Sansevieria (I think they're considered succulents). Shoe size 10 1/2.

Jeff

Yay...another Drosera and orchid fan.

Cheers

Welcome to the forums Jeff and, for what it's worth, my shoe size is big enought to plant a P. moranensis or two in and have a little room left over.

Drosera, well Lordy be - you can walk a mile in my shoes too: 10 and a half! Drosera have long been my favorite genus, although these days I don't cutivate many species. I hope we can have some great discussions, I always like seeing another Droseraholic, it just bends my tentacles!

A couple years ago I was asking Cath about the term 'Canuck' and its origin and she came up with something about a canard and a duck.... Something tells me she really didn't know.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes. I look forward to discussing various types of plants (and other stuff) with all of you.

I'll have to check out the OCPS. I was at their homepage, but that was as far as I got.

And for the record jimscott, I have no idea either where the term 'Canuck' comes from.

Jerry, That's a lie. I never ever tried to kill you. Thought never crossed my mind until you wrote it down. Now, I'm thinking about it. How do you want to go? Choose one from Column A, and one from Column B. I choose Column C!

Send me a list of column A and B and I'll let you know!
