Don't eat me,... Mr. Flytrap
Hello all, I notice that when I'm not logged in, the threads run from first post to last. When I am logged in, they run from lastest post to first. That makes me buggy (no pun intended). Is there a setting I can change to put thread post in a first to last order while logged in?
Thanks and I look forward to learning alot from you folks. :hail:

I was unaware that not logged in and logged in are different.... maybe you changed something. How do you want it? New/current posts at top? (that should be default) let me know and i'll check your account for you.

Oh and :welcome: You're not too far from me :D

EDIT: I just looked and you had changed it in your options... it should be correct now. Lemme know if you wanted something different.

Really??? Everything I see says they should be the same??? maybe you bumped it too, I dunno. You can change it under your Control Panel options.. just select:

Thread Display Mode:
Linear - Oldest First

yep, my mistake! Funny-- it's been that way since I installed the software (just under a year ago) and I'm just now hearing about it! haha.. But I fixed it for everyone... and also for all new registrations... thanks to Hydrotropism for helping me test it :)

THanks soooo much for fixing it. I fianally found the Control Panel (I thought 'User CP' meant user Carnivorous Plants, LOL!! :jester: ).
I'm going to try to add a shot of my Control Panel because I don't see the 'Thread display mode'. Of course, now I don't need to use it.

...and yes Andrew, we're in the same desert. I'll need loads of tips from you :hail: .

from there, you would click "edit options" then you'll see the option.

User Carnivorous Plants HAHAHA! That's great! :p

I grew indoors for a long time.. are you growing inside, or outside?

Actualy, a little of both right now. I was given a VFT for my birthday from my daughter. After doing a little research on the web about how to grow it, I decided a terrerium would be my best option. While gathering supplies at Lowes, I found a sundew and a pitcher plant. So this was my first attempt.
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff52/thbjr/terrerium.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

I'm lighting it with 2, 100 watt equivalant CFL's(3700 lumens total), have since put white reflective covering on 3 sides, and the D. adelae is growing like a weed. I got 2 more sundews, a D. Spathulata and a D. Capensis, a P. luscitanica and some live sphagnum so I re-aranged the terrerium and have put the pitcher and VFT outside to try to induce dormancy while I await another 9 sundews from an online auction. I'll post more pics when its all finnished.
I'd like to set up another 55 gallon tank with 48" fluorescent t5's for lighting packed with tropicals and then use my little 10 gallon for VTF's and a few others that need dormancy.
Eventually, I'd love to setup a 6'x8' greenhouse. Shhh, don't let my wife know that, LOL! How on earth do you keep yours cool enough not to cook your CP's in summer out here?
Like I said, I'll be wanting loads of tips from you!!!

It's D. spatulata (don't capitalize the first letter of the name and there is no H) :)

Sounds like a good start on a setup you have there!!

As far as keeping my g/h cool... I use one 12" blower master cool set up to a 2 stage mastercool thermostat and have a 1000PSI fogger that helps keep the temps down some, but mainly helps out with the lack of humidity.

You're in IT huh?? You "into" computers? or just happen to do it for work? I just finished my newest rig... well... almost finished... I ordered my nvidia 8800gt sli card to replace my 6800 yesterday :) I'm excited about that! And I think I found another 20.5 lcd monitor to match mine so i can switch to dual monitors with the new video card...

I won't tell your wife if you don't tell mine. :D

OK, so I cant speel! ??? As for my job, a bit of both. My dear mom, at 75 years young, does her best on a computer, but still get totally confused every time Hotmail re-designs it's website. So you know who she calls to help her find the 'forward' and 'send' button. It fianally got to the point I installed LogMeIn.com. It's free remote controle software, so now I can show her what ever it is she's wanting to do from the comphort of my arm chair with my laptop. Anyway, because of those vast computing type skills, she's sure I should be Bill Gate's personal assistant...LOL! Anyway, an entry level possition in the tech dept. at the school district I've been at for 8+ years opened and I applied. Voila, I actually got the job. My duties include stuff like reseting middle schoolers passwords, plugging in printers, rebooting teachers computers, you know...real techinical stuff:-D . But having said that, I enjoy it immensely more than I did driving 50-60 of those little angels to school and back every day as a bus driver. That's what I did for the 7 years previous to getting the level 1 tech possition. Soooo, if you need help replacing your DVD burner or adding RAM, then I'm your man.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your new video card. Are you using Vista? If so, that new card ought to bump up your WEI (Windows Experiance Index).

On another note Andrew, I hope you didn't get washed away last night. We got about 4" here in Phoenix.

I'm a tad late, but welcome anyway! All that talk about threads going from top to bottom or bottom to top or right to left is making me dizzy!
