Seja bem-vindo! It's great to have you here! That was a nice collection. You live in a botanically rich part of the world - I am jealous! What a wonderful place to explore! I look forward to hearing how you cultivate carnivorous plants in a climate that is very different from mine.

Thanks everyone!

Apoplst, The weather here is so hot (average 30 C) but is relatively stable (no major fluctuations in temperature) so it's easy to acclimate the plants. The biggest problem is the strong sun (high levels of ultraviolet radiation) usually leave the plants with only the early morning sun. The rest of the day use shading net (or other physical filter) to decrease the intensity of the sun. Otherwise just leave everything very humid!

I imagine it must be more difficult to cultivate the plants in countries with such severe winter and large fluctuations in temperature between seasons. And you still get to have beautiful plants!

My region is hot, but we have many mountains and waterfalls filled with carnivorous plants. The geographic and biological diversity is enormous and we are always open to visitors! You will be very welcome!

If interested in making ecological tourism have excelent options on the coast and in the countryside. I will gladly help you!

Regards,

Paulo Henrique

Welcome to TF!

Hi Paulo - Wow, your conditions are very different from mine! I find there are ways of growing what we want in any climate. My friends in more mild climates just tell me I need more "apparatus", but I build it. For me that has become part of the fun. It sounds like you have your conditions figured out well.

I am well aware of the wonders of the region in which you live. I've not been, but some of the places near you are legendary for plants! You should reconsider inviting me - I just might show up. ;) In all seriousness, someday I would love to visit that area. Someday.

Welcome to TC! What a wonderful collection you have!
