    Bellsprouts grow list

edit: new plants because i only had some Neps and basic stuff, but now I really grow different species from different genus. Hopefully they do well :)

    Not a carnivore. Any ideas?

There are some different species and I dont think you can propagate these shown above from leaves. They are sold for their flowers mostly. I only know one species of Kalanchoe (not sold for the flowers but as odd succulent) that grows plantlets at the leafs. Kalanchoe daigremontiana (or...

    Show your N. rajah

Really nice to see some of yours experiences! Knepenthe, your rajah looks very healthy, do you use fertilizer or coffee? hcarlton, it sounds like you know why it didn't grow (not enough light). I definitely think you should try again if you like the species and after all, one would make room in...

    Show your N. rajah

Hmm, no posts ... Am I right to say that most of you Nepenthes masters don't grow the species or has it died for all of you? Please can someone explain why pictures of rajah are almost Always years ago and why not many people grow them? I can't imagine that the serious growers that are on this...

    Show your N. rajah

Hi all, a very popular species but not too many people seem to be growing it succesfully. There is a giant holdback to try this plant because of many negative threads about rajahs dying and being too picky, but those threads are too old to be still relevant I hope. Some people seem to have grown...

    What after germination?

Thanks hcarlton, you convinced me to try :) @lance, I wasn't aware that algae could be damaging and indeed I have plenty of them now. I may search for something to deal with them. For the lighting, they are in a clear spot, only natural light with sometimes the winter sun. Hopefully they get...

    What after germination?

Here are the pics: one normal seedling, one stuck in the seed. I think they will never get rid of it and die, has anyone experience with removing such seeds? I might give it a try on one of them... I also see the bugs jumping now, so you are probably right :)...

    What after germination?

Oh yes, a temperature drop: I thought that seedlings would love it a bit warmer then adult plants, but there is no reason that would be of course so that was misconception. At day our windowsill is warmed probably more then the rest of the house, so maximum 72 (22 celcius) and maybe the winter...

    What after germination?

Thanks for the first answer. The seed on the cotyledons prevent them to open, so the're not just at the tip. I don't know much about the bugs: when I type fungus gnat larvae in google, I see some sort of long clear-to-white-colored thing with black head. I had some of them too but don't see them...

    What after germination?

Hi all, me again with a question for seed growers, especially Nepenthes attenboroughii seed. I'm a beginner and tried my first Nep seeds: I bought some (probably old) Nepenthes seeds online and sowed them the 13th of september. Only the attenboroughii germinated (october 15th), now 8 plants...

    Bellsprouts grow list

edit: some newly arrived plants. It's now 8 months I grow cp's and I'm curious to see my collection in five years, they won't be little plants anymore :D

    Coffee and Nepenthes

Ok Tysneps thanks for explaining. Now I know I should give my neps too much coffee because I would exhaust them too much. My conditions aren't yet the best and they don't receive too much light. I'll start with coffee in spring then :)

    Coffee and Nepenthes

I find this very interesting matter too. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the plants contain that IAA oxidase which slows down growth? What is the evolutionary advantage of growing slow? I always was under the impression that a plant does everything to grow as fast as possible, but of course I don't...

    some questions on arrivals

I got answers from the shop. The Sarr is a x eva The owner contacted me and we are searching for a solution. Thanks everyone for the info, if I didn't send that last mail I wouldn't have received an answer I think.

    some questions on arrivals

Thanks for the answer, I feel more confident now that it isn't me being too difficult or something. I sent them an email ten days ago in which I started to thank for the order, then proceeding with 'some questions I have'. I explained the problem like I did here and asked if that was due to some...
