    Argyroderma leaf renewal

Hey, my argyroderma is renewing its leaves right now. I know that that typical culture is to leave them bone dry until the old leaves are completely absorbed. However, right now the new bodies are showing some wrinkling. I have heard that light misting can be good. Any tips here? In the past I...

Paphiopedilum supersuk "Eureka" AM/AOS x Paph Raisin Pie "Hsinying") x Sib tips

Thanks for the tips! Sounds like we are using the same mix, that's reassuring! The leaf mottling has faded a bit. Maybe I'll pull it back from the window.

    Cwats orchid thread

After several years of growing I'm finally into orchids! Super fun. Here are some photos! (Paph. 'Eureka' AM/AOS x Paph. Raisin Pie 'Hsinying') x Sib Showed big improvement when I put in it in bark in a south facing window. It definitely grew in low light, but seems to strongly prefer good...

Paphiopedilum supersuk "Eureka" AM/AOS x Paph Raisin Pie "Hsinying") x Sib tips

It did pretty well through my move. It was attacked by mold, but it went away with a sulphur solution. I moved it to bark and to a much brighter location. It has responded by growing vigorously. The other lead even woke up.

    Ping won't produce carnivorous leaves

Yeah we're in winter here. Makes it a bad time to try to troubleshoot a weird dormancy. I am only questioning because this plant has been dormant for nearly a year.

    Ping won't produce carnivorous leaves

My laueana has been producing succulent leaves for about a year now. It suffered extreme damage due to a root mealie infestation, which may be the root of the problem. Anyway, mealies are gone, and it has good roots, but it still won't enter summer growth. I'm giving my plants an early spring...

    Lithops desync ?

If your highland set up is humid they probably won't want that. In NE United States my Lithops did fine on a bright sill. It gets pretty chilly right next to the window.

    Artifical light questions.

As many T5 bulbs as you can fit in your space. I grow some mesembs and stapeliads 4-6 inches under 4 2' T5, and my highest light plants aren't at their best coloration. My Argyroderma and all stapeliads have flowered in these conditions, however. 12- 16 hours is good depending on what you are...

Seond flower opened. It's a little smaller than the first. See some good roots in the pot too, so I guess everything is ok.
