Go with the 6,500K; the plant can utilize nearly 100% of that area of spektrum. Lumens are how bright it is to Human Eyes.
6,500 may not seem too bright to us, but it is blazing to a plant. Temperature (Kelvin) is very important to get the most out of the wattage.
I absolutely couldn't AGREE more ! !
Especially the A720IS stupidly simple to use and the MACRO cannot be beat ! !
You can get right up to a trap and be in focus! I can take a picture of My fingerprints perfectly; seriously.

I use it in the jewelry store for appraisals.

This week I finally repotted some Green Dragons I've had in a pot half that volume for 5 years starting with 3 mature plants, and now it yielded 3 Very large plants (that I could have divided more than twice) 7 Mediums, and 5 babies.
It was overdue, but far from dying.

I don't have much experience with sulphur based, but I assume that the other water based would be alright. It's just the inert ingredients you have to be careful with. I bought some combo insecto/fungicide from Wal-Mart with no ill affects and have used it twice this Summer.
Don't keep the medium soggy all the time when growing it indoors. Let it get to cool moist before watering from below in a tray again. What kind of water are you giving it, anyway?
They sell Cleery 3336 here and it seems to be the best. A little packet will fill a 32 ounce sprayer 4 times. I keep mine potted and mist the plant and medium until moist; then baggie the whole pot and stick in fridge, cutting off all dead which I do all the time anyway.
Our Wal_Mart got some as well; commons, dente's, and BIG MOUTHS!!

They were planted in what appears to be peat and coconut fibers.
I gave them cool Sun for two days; repotted them and have them (all 6) under flourescents right now. They were fresh stock as no new growth had undersize...
Mine is a RAPID TEST; the more 'expensive' model
Maybe it is a rapid failure. Canadian peat I'm told has
the lowest p.h.
what Kind of meter are you using Alvin?
