    Nepenthes quickly turning black

Hey Andrew, when I see rapidly advancing black and die off its usually due to stress. Even without extreme heat a plant sitting on the upper end of whats acceptable seems to make it vulnerable to a sudden collapse over enough time.

    Cheap USB LED grow lights

Lux is just a measurement of lumens against distance. I use 12000 lumen lights about 1 foot away from my plants. However, these days, many growlights will give you a PAR value. 'm not sure kelvin matters much at all. Just go with something roughly in the middle.

Giant and interesting species I might be able to grow

Platychila is an intermediate elevation species. It will be adaptable to most conditions.

Giant and interesting species I might be able to grow

You will not be able to find rigidifolia, it is only produced by one nursery and they do not do retail sales. Sumatrana needs consistent warm and humid conditions to grow well. I wouldn't try it without a greenhouse

    Cheap USB LED grow lights

Those are so weak that I'm not sure I'd bother. The restart in growth you saw was probably due more to winter beginning to end than anything those lights contributed. For a sense of scale, the lowest power lights I know of other people using draw 36 watts. Those usb sticks probably need to be...

Giant and interesting species I might be able to grow

Neither is something I'd recommend to a beginner, they're both expensive plants. If you must go with clipeata, it's cheaper

The only seller I know of is Wistuba. You'll have to contact them to see what their options for shipping into Israel is.

Giant and interesting species I might be able to grow

I know that clipeata at least can take lots of direct light. Again, if you want specific advice for growing outdoors you'll need to ask the advice of someone who lives in your area or be willing to experiment on your own. None of the rest of us live in Israel and weather forecasts and...

Giant and interesting species I might be able to grow

For highlanders I wouldn't be comfortable letting them get above 30C for extended periods of time. You're also neglecting the night time temperatures. A lot of the highland species you list require significant temperatures drops. Clipeata and klossii may work but merrilliana is a true lowland...

Giant and interesting species I might be able to grow

I feel as if we did answer this question at one point in the past. Palawanesis and burbidgeae are not lowland climate plants by any definition. The plants you listed as being known to grow in israel do so because they're very tough and adaptable species. The same is not true of most of the...

    Dripping sticky blobs

That's normal. All nepenthes produce nectar, some just produce more than others. As you've seen, some even produce enough to drip off the plant.

Advice about grow lights for winter

That bulb is on the lower end of what I would use for plants. https://www.amazon.com/Deformable-Ceiling-Adjustable-Workshop-Basement/dp/B082W6SWPW/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=led+garage+bulb&qid=1629918091&sr=8-14 Something like this will give you a lot more power while still fitting into a...
