    Utricularia graminifolia - My Experiences

I used to grow it emergent, in an undrained container, with the tips of the leaves just poking through the water surface. It flowered well that way for me.

Utricularia, section Orchidioides - info sharing & discussion

I've been growing U. jamesoniana for some time and recently thought I had lost it. When I first grew it, it was in coarse peat and moss (not sphagnum) in a jar and I noticed it tended to prefer to grow at the base, where it was wetter. That culture started to fail due to poor air circulation so...

Philips GreenPower LED flowering lamp trial

Missed this thread, mainly because I'm not in this forum often, but I have owned the same Philips lamp for some time and the Heliamphora below has been grown under it. Growth rate has been good, but it lacks a little colouration.

Cephalotus ' Dudley Watts ' or Cephalotus " Double Ribbed" ? Which one?

    C. 'Eden Black' x self doesn't show color?

I think there is a lot of confusion with regards to 'dark' Cephalotus plants. Some people expect to get the colouration, even if they don't get it with their other Cephalotus in the same conditions. In my experience, some clones appear to have the potential of becoming darker in the same growing...

    C. 'Eden Black' x self doesn't show color?

What I was getting at was how far can you go in a cultivar description with regards to what is needed in order to express the claimed unique characteristic [emoji4] Sent from my XT1039 using Tapatalk

    C. 'Eden Black' x self doesn't show color?

If I grow a plant in a complex gas mixture and it shows a unique characteristic then could I register it as a cultivar? Sent from my XT1039 using Tapatalk

    C. 'Eden Black' x self doesn't show color?

With regards to what Dimi said, these two seedlings are from the same batch of location crosses and the front one (bottom of picture) has always shown a darker colouration to its siblings.
