Hey all I havnt been very active lately but I'll be posting more from now on.
Here's a look at what's going on at my place.
Lots going on. I have around 80 species of plants and a few species of animals as well. I have copepods and shrimp, an assassin snail as well as a tarantula.
Neat collection. Could you say a bit more about your growing setup and conditions? It appears you keep things pretty humid using the tall humidity domes.
Everything looks fantastic! Goodluck hun, yr plants look fantastic!
Clue, did Those seeds i gave u for our trade a while back i hope u didnt toss them out and give up on them! I just looked in a neglected tray i tossed some lingulata seeds in and forgot ALL about them. The container was taken with mold and never watered i was tossing things out and noticed 5 seedlings sprouted!! Holy crap! I couldnt beleive it!! It was the nastiest pot ive ever seen cause they were seeds i didnt wash or soak in ga3 be4 sowing sooo i had little hope for them after a few months not seeing anything special.. I literally froze after i was about to toss the container in the trash can! Wondering if u have had anything pop up like that? And if you still have the trays i wouldnt sell them short just yet!
This is where my orchids and a couple other things that can handle less humidity and more light. There's a fan i built in to an led bar light.
My main cp tray stays wet constantly, my tutor says it's best. My tutor also made my potting mix for me with extra drainage so root rot won't ever be an issue. I only keep about 1cm of water in the tray. One 48 inch sunblaster above them ( if you don't use sunblasters I suggest you start ) the ONE light is only 54w and they grow faster then my tutors plants do solely because of it. No clue what the aldrovanda is. I never throw out seeds but I pm'd you! Any questions feel free to ask.
As a side note I ONLY feed with synthetics.. well the occasional bug here and there for fun, but I rely on synthetic fertilisers for food.
I pulled apart most of my ping "John rizza, which had grown a lot, in order to get a bunch of babies. Looks to be at least 3 starting on that one pulling.
Got some new plants and reorganized everything. There is more space and the plants are getting more light.
Everything has adjusted to my climate and is growing very nicely now.
So many sprouts! I think those might be drosera intermedia? Not sure I have 10 or so types of sundew seedlings now and the picture wasn't labeled aha.
These are thyme sprouts, I've started my spice garden as well with lots of sprouts. In a few months I'll have more plants then I'll know what to do with I'm excited.
