    Propagation method?

Trying to propagate some indoor pet friendly plants, zz plants, boston ferns, succulents, etc.
Every source I see has a method of leaf/stem cutting and placing them in water to root.
Does anyone know if it's faster to propagate in water with rooting hormone and possibly even a mild amount of NPK?

I can't speak about ferns and others but with succulents it is usually a matter of taking a leaf and putting the broken end into moist soil until it roots. They generally root easily this way. I don't recommend rooting into standing water, unless you are going to grow hydroponically, as plants make different types of roots in water than they need in soil. For what it's worth.
