I'm pretty stoked that my banana plant is growing. It looked sooooo dead for sooooo long. When it got nice here I planted it outside and now 2-3 weeks later it is sprouting new shoots that are unfurling. It is a 'Blue Java' banana, supposed to be good.
Can you eat the fruits? That happened to my N.bical once, do I just cut it to encourage shooting or what? I'm still trying to get my recently 'dead' bical to come alive again, won't try to explain, but go to here
if you want to find out (and if you want to heeelllpppppp!)
Maybe I should blast in with light and keep it moist, that was the conditions (I think) which made my 'dead' nep shoot again (do they do that as a survival tactic?)
