Amorphophallus titanum dieback!

Hi
I got a small Amorphophallus titanum tuber a few weeks back.
It had a 5 inch shoot which was going a bit brown when I got it. Over the last few weeks it has gone completely brown and dry at the tip and is working its way down!
And the rest of the leaf has a stressed wrinkled look.

It was coming out of dormancy when I got it. As it is autumn here is it likely it will now go back into dormancy again. Or could it reshoot a new leaf, as I can't see this current leaf doing anything?

It is currently in my lowland tank indoors, though I intend to keep it in my heated greenhouse when I am sure it has settled in.

cheers
