I'll try and post updates every week or so, they grow fast this time of year.

Looks good. Look forward to the progress. I'm new to orchids and only have phals and paphs right now.

Nice little collection! They're not exactly easy to find, either.

Nice collection. I only have C. pubescens, and pogonia right now.

Nice work with the Calypso. I had a group years ago that I collected from my dad's property. It always makes me laugh when people talk about how they are impossible to cultivate.

How fast do these grow and spike? I've been trying to learn about these before buying. Are they slow like the tropical orchids?

pineapple; although i have yet to add a temperate orchid to my rapidly growing collection (i am actually suprised that i managed to leave the local Lowes store earlier today without carrying an armfull of cattleyas or something, as in adition to the typical noid phals, they have a great selection of orchids ,that are ACTUALLY LABLED!!!, unlike our local HD which just sells those ugly blue, lime green ,and neon pink dyed phals),but i have heard that mature plants flower each year, a specefic time for each temperate species. i plan to get a water spider orchid and a rose pogonia orchid for the new mini bog im starting this year

Nice work with the Calypso. I had a group years ago that I collected from my dad's property. It always makes me laugh when people talk about how they are impossible to cultivate.

Yeah, they say that about Cypripedium too. As long as their specific conditions are met and adhered to, they're actually fairly easy.

I'm now almost 100% sure this is a Calanthe species. I'm just not sure which one. These should be fully opened by tomorrow or the day after.
