Disa Suppliers in the US ?

I've been wanting to add a few Disa species to my ZA plant collection but, most of the vendors here in the US seem to be defunct. I've found a few hybrids here and there but, I'd really like to get some pure species. Does anyone know of any nurseries or private growers where I might be able to get some of these plants ?

Hey Johnny if you do find a source, hook a brother up!

Hey do you have somebody looking over on Orchid Board? I was just there and someone suggested Afrodisa. I went to his webpage and it hasn't been updated in a while. I shot him an email, and I'll let you know what I hear from him.

Mike Wang grows a number of Disas. Hey may have species.

Here are my only two sources for random terrarium plants.

First would be to either post a Looking for thread or just check daily. They have a good amount of new posts a week and the good stuff goes fast. http://www.dendroboard.com/forum/plants-supplies-classifieds/

Option B would be to contact http://www.cloudjungle.com/ and hope he is still selling/trading. I know a few years ago he was trying to reduce his collection size so I have no current info.

We also have a few people on the TF Forums that frequent the dendroboard and grow these plants, since I don't like random PMs asking for this and that I just can not give out names. Maybe post a trade up here and see what happens.

I'll check and see if I have any growing when I get home, I've received a few cutting over the years but they never interested me so I just tossed them into a terrarium and forgot about them.

Randall I think you've confused Disas with something else. They're a temperate terrestrial genus of orchids, and I don't believe they can be propagated by cuttings.

You are correct I got them confused with Dischidia species, that is the problem when you have too many plants.

Thanks John ! Keep me in the loop !

And thank you too Jay. I'll have to shoot Mike an email. I had no idea he even grew these.
