My Tropical Orchid Thread

Figured I'd start this one of with Elleanthus amethystinus, a terrestrial from South America known to grow in the vicinity of the Tepuis.

Beautiful! A cool-cold grower, I'm guessing? What substrate do you use for this one?

This one likes intermediate to highland conditions. It's still in the pot I bought it in and it appears to be in regular ol' pottin' soil.

Another one of Elleanthus amethystinus. I really love this plant, looks just like some kind of grass until it blooms.

Stenoglottis fimbriata - No blooms yet but the foliage on this one is pretty spectacular on it's own.

Stenoglottis fimbriatus looks prehistoric. Very nice plants thanks for the awesome shots.
