S. alata leaves all twisted and deformed

I have a large planter of S. alata that have been sending up twisted and deformed leaves in the last month.

What kind of pests or disease can cause this?

Aphids and spider mites come to mind right off the bat.

Those're some examples of aphid damage. Is that the sort of twisting and deformity you're seeing?

Yeah, something like that. HoustonHerp suggested it may also be caused by dehydration, since I don't see obvious aphids themselves.
