On March 2, 2007 I planted two potfulls of seeds from my S. mooreii "Big Red". I am not sure if they are selfings or a natural hybrid with something else in my collection.

The seeds were harvested in late October, stored dry in the fridge till mid-January, stratified in a damp paper towel in the fridge for 6 weeks, and sown on 3-2-2007. Yesterday 3-18-2007 I got the first sprout :)

There are actually 2 sprouts out of the 20 seeds I have planted, but judging from the seed coat on the unsprouted seeds, I expect that I should have a very good germination rate on these seeds.

I tried to stratify cobra lily seeds on a damp paper towel and the towel turned pink, blue, green, and black.

Today 3-20-2007, I count 6 seeds that have sprouted :D
