Flower Count '08

  • #41
I'm only allowing a few of my plants to flower, for breeding purposes, and popping off the buds on everything else. So far I estimate I've popped off 300-400 buds. Flower count at my larger shared growing facility is somewhere around 1500 (coservative estimate).

Lol, mine is zero too! But hopefully, my Sarracenias make flowers next year. This may be a little off topic, but... I have a D. aliciae that is making a flower stalk

Those flower photos are nice. Here in NJ, my flowering size plants do not yet show a single flower. Well, at least I got to move them from the garage to outside a week ago. Spring will be here soon, but we still have frost and still could get snow here.

I do not have specifics but while I was tearing apart one of my bogs and transferring to the other I came up with a rough count of 108. I am going to have a busy pollinating season... And I still have not gotten all my seed from last year sown...

My oreo's flower is finally blooming, but the second one aborted. Pitchers have a way to go though, which is strange, because my Purp already grew a new one.

So far the only Sar flowers I have are from the plants I bought from Andy. That's a total of eight flowers. The rest of the Sars in my collection are still waking from dormancy and have yet to send up any buds.
