Hey All,

I harvested some seeds from my s. x'Catesbaei' (did I spell that right?) this weekend, and to my shock, they are PURPLE!

I've only ever seen beige/tan sar seeds. Has anyone else ever gotten purple seeds?

Thanks NAN.

Guess it's only new to ME!

I'll soon be harvesting this guy:

Hopefully, there will be something in there!

I've yet to get any purple seeds...

I've gotten purple seeds from my S. purpurea purpurea plants.

Lol, so has anyone gotten purple seeds from a plant without S. purpurea in it? I remember reading that they could be purple, but I always thought it was a slight tint, how purple are they?

I've not gotten any purple seeds ever. Purpurea or otherwise.

I sometimes get purple seeds.

They're obviously prurple, but it's muted (they dry when the pod splits).

But it sure stands out in stark contrast to the tan seed-pod!

I have gotten purple seeds from my purpurea ssp. purpurea before.
I didn't get any seed this year though.
