Sarracenia seedling question

Just a quick question. How big do sarracenia rhizomes get in their first year from seedlings?

Thanks,

-Hermes.

Rhizome / root length varies a bit, in terms of both species and cultivation. My last batch of S. flava var. rubricorpora were quite happy in those 72-square plastic plug flats (seed trays) during their first year. Those cannot be much more than an inch deep . . .

Not very big. You'll see decent sized pitchers and rhizomes after about 3 years.

Yes, the rhizomes do not elongate much during the first year of growth.
