well, my first flower of the year is finally starting to open, a x catesbaei. we had a hard freeze on mother's day, which actually only wiped out about 3 out of the couple dozen stalks i have altogether. amazingly this catesbaei is still opening, as the freeze caused its flower stalk to bend over in two places, so the stalk is shaped like the old hangman game. i'll post a pic once it's fully open.
