I noticed this wasp earlier this evening on some Sarracenia seedlings. It was moving very slowly, due to the temperature, I assume, although it wasn't that cold. Maybe 55 degrees outside. Anyway, he let me get some nice close-ups, and I was even able to pet it. Maybe it was drunk on nectar.
Nice pictures! That 2nd one really shows the eyes really well. I find them every so often on mine as well, today though this one didn't get as lucky...
