Plants changing colors in the fall are caused by several things.
Yes, as I mentioned above & linked in another thread, Andreas explained over here (4th post). My point in sharing these pics was that the 'Czech Giant' had the dark coloration before things cooled down, while the 2 HG progeny only darkened somewhat after the onset of lower temps.

I never noticed it until you mentoned it here, but all my 'Czech Giants' are deeper in color than other Ceph's of similair size reguardless of light levels. I have also not had any 'Giant' pitchers yet, the typical I have has larger pitchers than that clone.
