You're getting great results from a single flourescent, holy crap!
Looking SO lovely!

I was thinking the same thing. Great coloration on the Ceph from just that one light. :hail:

WOW...maybe I'm overdoing it...

Now that is really nice, almost looks natural!

So that it? Only a 26W compact? How long do you have it on?

Just double checked its a 26W 6.7K bulb, it is on for about 14 hours. I'm sure there is a little bleed over from the other tank with another 26W bulb sitting about 1" next to it.

Nice set up with beautiful plants!!!!

RSS that tank is awesome! I'm going to be setting up a tank soon. Once I find time to clean it. It's a older 55gallon I got from my aunt. As far as medium. What all are you using? How often do you water? I'm going to keep mine in my GH once I finish doing it up. Planning on fogging it and hopefully keeping it and the GH cool this time around on hot days. I'm very interested in the medium I should be using and how I keep it fresh since it is not able to be flushed like pots are. Thanks god any info.

Your vive is looking awesome! Have any new updates??

I'm using ADA Aquasoil as the main base and a mix of peat/sand/perlite for the hill. I mist everything but the Ceph's every 2-3 days and overhead water once a week. I try and keep the base medium about 50% flooded. I'm using good water so I've never had any noticable buildup. I have a few of these closed terrariums set-up for 5+ years and there is no noticable buildup.

I've played around with a few foggers and while they do look nice the effort to keep them working properly is just too much for me. I've always had this nagging feeling that the fog was too much moisture for alot of the plants and may actually be harmful...Nothing to back-up that just a feeling.

Wow that is so nice! I've thought about setting up something bigger with a bunch of plants but it really is ... frightening :0o: thinking about all the things that could go wrong. But when it goes right... oh man  That ceph is just so nice!

That filled in nicely! I love the addition on the Utric. Ever though of adding an epiphytical plant to the cork wall?

There is one, its just growing at a snails pace...and being stingy with the leaves.

That's going to make a nice wall effect.

Very nice setup you have there! Is that an Exo-Terra bulb and fixture? I've found that with their 26W "2.0 UV" bulbs I get great coloration on all my plants, and great growth rates. Keep up the good work!

Yes they are, I ended up with 3 of them about a year ago doing alot of trading and whatnot. I'm really not seeing anything "better" about these bulb than similair daylight bulbs of the same wattage.

Very cute, effective setup. Thank you, it has actually inspired to re-try my small terra.

Do you keep the tags there all the time ? They are a little distracting, me thinks.

They are there all the time, I have a lot of these types of setups and I'm still trying out a few options to keep the plants ID'd.

I see. Going through your setup threads now and having a blast. Very inspiring, beautiful work. Thanks much for sharing and also helping with questions.

Ha, ha, I was showing my husband your setup and ooing and ahhing, and all I heard was a groan and him mumbling something under his breath like "there goes the spare room."

Seriously, that is one nice set up. Really enjoyed the photos and hope to see more to come.
