forgot to post this oddity. Again this is a seedling from S. leucophylla Hurricane Creek, Alabama. Height wise it seems like a runt but it is putting out tons to tiny almost pitcher. It is in a 3 inch pot.
Kula, my S. leucophylla 'Hurricane Creek White' started out that way as well. It made small pitchers for the first year and then all of a sudden put out a pitcher 3 times the size of the others. Don't be surprised when much larger growth comes out of nowhere
seeds were started in March 2009. Keeping them warm and well lit on a long photo period prevented them from going dormant. Them moved them outside to re sync with the normal seasons.
Have you tried osmocote pellets in the soil? I did that with mine... a CPN states how to do this, and there is quite an acceleration in growth. The treatment group faired much better than the control group.

I did try the osmocote fertilizer and it works. Just if you over do it I tend to get a moss, liverwort explosion and they overrun the seedlings. Finding that burring the fertilizer pellets may reduce this explosion
