Spring leaves . . .

Here are a couple of shots of new Heliamphora leaves for Spring. Of the two, H. chimantensis is, by far, the better of the two at capturing wasps. When I trimmed away last year's leaves, they were full of ichneumonid wasps; and both species assume a dark red color as the pitchers age . . .

they are one of the more underrated Helis IMHO
