A tale of 3 heli divisions

jbradt

stretch.... yawn...
Hey all,

So, a couple of months ago, I divided my hetero x minor. At this point I can say I've seen new growth on all the divisions. I have 3 left in my posession at this point.

It's not the best pic, but you can see that the front two (rootless divisions) both have new pitchers on them. When they root, one is going to a member here, not sure about the other one yet.

The one in the back, I've been waiting for to do something. It is a small division, but had a good root structure. It hadn't died any, but also hadn't shown any real signs of growth. I thought about the fact that this division has the bottom part of a cut off flower stalk in it, and wondered if that could inhibit the growth. Then today I saw this:

Call me crazy, but that looks like a flower stalk to me. I never expected to see that! Any tips on how to proceed with this?

let it do it's thang.... if you snip a flower at that early of a stage, it will usually just replace it with another...
Flowering doesnt hurt helis.... they seem pretty intent on doing it.

Cool. Thanks, Butch! Should be pretty cool to see this little thing with a flower on it.
