Lovely color, just wondering what lighting you are growing it under?

Also wondering how long it will take for Jcal's PM box to explode with trade/random spam. :-D

Lol! I use this light.

I'm still trying to get used to it. I spent a lot of time in my grow room before I got this light. Now I mostly avoid it. I can't get used to the freaky light show. It works and the results are fantastic. But it's changed the way i enjoy my plants and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It might find its home in my closet. For now I just shut it off if i am In there for an extended time. But all of my plants have really colored up...a lot.

So I finally joined the club! It's just a typical but seems to be doing well so far.

Cephalotus follicularis by Nimbulan, on Flickr

Welcome to the club. It's still my favorite indoor plant. They are addictive!

I just bought my second Ceph today. The first died a few years ago. I'm trying again. Let's see how I do. Your first post with all the links is very welcome. Thanks.

My oldest Ceph had two new traps when I first pictured it in Mai 2014. this one is from June the first picture from May is not that impressive.

I repotted it in December of the same year in another one of my creations. Both traps took the loss of liquid without problem; I had to take them upside down.

In March 2015 both of these traps were still alive

They are the two small dark ones to the right.

They got darker with age all the time even the windows of the lid turned purple. They kept pretty closed in the last year.

While I was taking leaf and trap pullings in order to decrowd it a bit, one of this Methuselah traps got loose with a leaf; so only one remained on the plant.

Here it is the surviving trap on the plant in May 2016

It is the small dark on in the front.

If somebody likes o see the whole story of my special pots with several other Cephs.

here it is in German.

I have not lost a plant jet. Maybe it is the light Boron treatment they get to prevent crown rot, maybe just luck.
Usually all pullings take root, since I have found the best way to do it. Even very small juvenile traps took root.

I haven't been on here for a long time but I retained most of my Cephs and still grow other plants in a bog outside. I would like to share a long-term observation regarding growing cephs: I have noticed that mixes that have APS or Turface (no matter how thoroughly you wash it) in them do not do well long term. The soil promotes growth of mold within and the plants do not do well. The best mixes remain those that contain peat+perlite+bark(optional)+coarse-sand.
