Cephalotus follicularis 'Big Boy' leaf cutting

This is the result of a leaf cutting I took on July 8th. Nothing unusual really, a little long perhaps as it's now 9th November and it's just showing above the surface.

Then I complete the date the cutting was taken, July 8th 2013, that's 16 months ago. This is certainly the longest wait for this to happen I've experienced in all my years with this species. It just shows that you should never give up on the plant, it's a bit tougher than many think.

WOW 16 months???? I remember VFT flower stalks callusing after a week before!

That is... insane. Was this under lights or window?

That's amazing! I agree. I find Cephalotus to be a lot tougher than is usually thought.
