Darlingtonia heads

These are a couple of pitchers from the mother plant of "Venom". The pitchers are developing nicely. :-O

Incredible! How tall do the pitchers grow on that monster?
 
The tallest is only 23"

Those "silver beads" are actually transparent windows that confuse insects to prevent them from escaping the pitcher. Some Sarracenia employ this trick as well.
 
That's pretty amazing, I can't wait until my Darlingtonia is old enough to have some nice sized pitchers, mine are only about 3 inches tall right now.

FWIW the "windows" are called fenestrations...
